Like its predecessor, LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens, the game's hub will not be a single area but vast and fully-explorable planets. As noted, the game does not need to be completed in a linear order.
There is also a new over-the-shoulder camera angle and expanded melee combat system to make it more engaging even for seasoned players. However, the combat has been revamped, allowing Lightsaber wielders to use a variety of combos. The basics of the game will be familiar for fans of the previous Lego games. Not only that, but you have 300 characters to choose from, allowing you to play as a Jedi, a Sith, a rebel, or a bounty hunter. Each episode will have five story missions, making a total of 45 levels. As mentioned, it allows players to play through all nine saga films.
